A family of occasional tables playing with the variation of aperture altering with the observers perspective. Reminiscent of water turbines, they strangely incorporate both, technoid, and poetic aesthetics. Made entirely from Solid Textile Board by Really®, the flat slabs are playfully turned into volumes. The simple yet efficient construc-tion reveals the unique beauty of the material’s surface and highlights its characteristic slim edges. Each Table is built from only three different shapes, that can be produced by CNC-, laser-, or water-jet technology. The construction – when assembled – has a high stiffnessin every direction, thanks to the circular arrangement of the vertical parts. The very low tolerances of the material allow for a precise joining. The inner space between the upright sides and the horizontals serves as a circular shelf for books or magazines. Turbine Tables can be produced in various heights and sizes and are suitable for the residential environment as well as for retail- and office spaces.
